It was on December 21 when the police were alerted to the Prime Minister's villa in Nacka, after a cleaning company accidentally triggered a burglary alarm, according to information to Expressen.

When the police arrived at the scene, it turned out that a female cleaner there did not have a residence permit and was wanted.

The incident has provoked strong reactions, and it has been questioned how companies working for the Prime Minister are controlled.

The CEO of the cleaning company tells Expressen that he sometimes hires staff from two different companies.

He says he trusts companies and does not usually check the background of staff.

According to the CEO, there is no collective agreement.

Andersson: Has said that they have a collective agreement

Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson believes that the question of collective agreements has been asked.

“I have ended all contacts with the cleaning company.

They have on several occasions answered in the affirmative to the question of whether they have a collective agreement ", Andersson writes in a written comment to SVT Nyheter.

The CEO of the hired cleaning company was sentenced in 2010 in the Court of Appeal to a tax fine of almost SEK 600,000 for a scheme with fake invoices, shows a ruling that SVT has read.

"Make sure there is order"

Magdalena Andersson believes that the incident in general around the cleaning company shows a problem that she "has long pointed out".

“Like many other Swedes, I am careful that there is order and order in the services I buy.

But that even we who want to do the right thing can happen to unscrupulous actors and it shows that we must continue to implement even more political measures to combat various forms of cheating ", writes the Prime Minister.

Pia Bergman, the Swedish Tax Agency's expert on financial crime, tells Expressen that Magdalena Andersson has not broken any rules when a person who worked illegally cleaned her home.

- On the other hand, I who work at the Swedish Tax Agency and see these arrangements would say that Magdalena is now a legislator.

What the legislator must review is this type of opportunity to round out the entire system and still get square and root deductions through state funds.

SVT Nyheter has unsuccessfully sought the CEO of the cleaning company.
