He added in an interview with Egyptian Channel One, the day before yesterday, Friday, that there were ideas that preceded the "Abrahamic religion", which is a political idea, such as that "religions are like colors that we can change as we wish, and this is something that does not fit with the idea of religion, and both are completely rejected and unacceptable."
The Pope considered that the idea of "Abrahamic religion" is a product of political thinking originating from the West, with the aim of breaking the constants of religion that preserve human entity and identity, explaining that "the East is the temple of the world and the West is the factory of the world.
Tawadros II warned that the idea of religion has depth, feeling and connection to the easterners, while this matter has disappeared in many places in the West.
Sheikh Al-Azhar
Early last November, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar rejected calls to mix Judaism, Christianity and Islam into one message or one religion called Abrahamic or the Abrahamic religion.
