According to him, the alliance over the past decades has been striving to push Russia back and transfer it "if not to the role of a subordinate, then in any case to a secondary role in European and international politics."

He noted that even a non-specialist understands that it will no longer be possible to demand concessions from Russia in this situation.

"So NATO needs to collect the money and go to the 1997 borders," Ryabkov said.

It is noted that in May 1997, Russia and the North Atlantic Alliance signed the Founding Act, in which the parties confirmed that they do not consider each other as opponents, and also create a "mechanism for consultation, coordination and joint action."

The Russian delegation is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov.
