He said this in an interview with ABC.

"The foundation can be laid for the restoration of the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles with Russia, from which the US has withdrawn from the Trump administration," the channel said, citing the Secretary of State.

On August 2, 2019, the INF Treaty was officially terminated at the initiative of the United States. 

On October 26, 2020, the Russian leader said that Russia was ready not to deploy 9M729 missiles in the European part of the country, subject to reciprocal steps from the North Atlantic Alliance.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov doubted that the INF Treaty could be restored in the form in which it had existed for three decades.
