The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is participating, with an independent pavilion, in the "Expo 2020 Dubai" exhibition, located in the mobility area.
The pavilion represents a journey to the light, and its supreme message is “Read”, the first word revealed in the Holy Qur’an, and the first messages that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation would like to publish in the world, in reference to the importance of reading, knowledge and education.
The Commissioner-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's pavilion at the "Expo Dubai", Ambassador Nouria Al-Hamami, said that "the organization's participation aims to spread many lofty messages, which are in the interest of man and humanity, and the participation of the world in the pursuit of civilization and modernity, rejecting extremism and extremism, and encouraging Dialogue, communication and joint cooperation with the world, in the interest of humans and future generations.
The following are the top 10 lofty goals that the organization seeks to spread among the peoples of the world, during its participation in “Expo 2020 Dubai”:
■■ Preserve the noble Islamic values of spreading peace, compassion, tolerance, equality and justice, and preserving and enhancing human dignity.
■■ Participate in global endeavors to promote human values that serve humankind and contribute to achieving sustainable development, progress and prosperity.
■■ Preserve and promote women's rights, and ensure their participation in all areas of life, in accordance with the statements of Islamic summits and the decisions of the Ministerial Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
■■ Participation of the world Attention to creating appropriate conditions for the care and sound upbringing of Muslim children and youth, and the inculcation of Islamic values in them, through education, in order to enhance cultural, social, moral and ethical values;
Contribute to the achievement of international peace and security.
■■ Promote human rights and fundamental freedoms, good governance, rule of law, democracy, and accountability in member states, in accordance with their constitutional and legal systems.
■■ Enhance trust and encourage friendly relations, mutual respect and cooperation among Member States, and between them and other countries.
■■ Supporting noble Islamic values related to moderation and tolerance, respecting diversity, preserving Islamic symbols and common heritage, and defending the universality of the Islamic religion.
■■ Promote the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge, in line with the lofty ideals of Islam, in order to achieve intellectual excellence.
■■ Strengthen cooperation between member states to achieve sustainable social and economic development, in a way that helps them to effectively integrate into the global economy, in accordance with the principles of partnership and equality.
■■ Protect and enhance all aspects related to the environment, for the benefit of present and future generations.
