In Burkina Faso, the opposition announces its return to the National Council for Orientation and Monitoring of National Reconciliation and to the Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of the Recommendations of the Political Dialogue.

In November, she slammed the door following the resurgence of terrorist attacks, issuing a month-long ultimatum to the government to find solutions.

Even if the security situation has not improved on the ground, the opposition ends this suspension to give a chance to the national reconciliation process, following the mediation of religious and customary figures according to Eddie Komboïgo, the leader. of the opposition.

After the expiration of its ultimatum given to the government, the political opposition notes that the record remains darker.

More than 300 members of the defense and security forces and volunteers for the defense of the homeland killed, around forty people kidnapped or missing, schools and police stations closed.

And even the black flag, the one attributed to jihadist groups located in certain police stations.

The opposition is planning a meeting with several institutions such as the Ministries of the Armed Forces and of Security, the Higher State Control Authority in order to have a fair appreciation of the means implemented by the government in the fight against the terrorism and bad governance,

Despite this gloomy picture of the security situation, the opposition decided to resume its place in the process of national reconciliation and in the framework for monitoring political dialogue.

Eddie Komboïgo, the leader and his comrades say they took this decision after mediation by several religious and customary authorities, the mediator of Faso and Zéphirin Diabré, the minister in charge of national reconciliation.

Even if it joins the political dialogue, the opposition calls on the populations to be ready for any slogan depending on the evolution of the security situation.
