Police were alerted to the scene at 7.45pm.
The injured man was taken to hospital and is said to have been beaten with a machete.
The situation must have started in the apartment but then moved out of there.
The person who first called the police had picked up the injured man in his car to help him.

It is a sharp insult of some kind that should have been used, says Johnny Gustavsson, the police's spokesperson.
The man's exact location of the injury is still unknown.
The apartment is cordoned off and the police will carry out a technical investigation.
