“Our source, who reported on the detention of Nazarbayev’s nephew Samat Abish, was mistaken, this information was not confirmed,” Bazhkenova said.

She also apologized to the readers.

According to her, the message about the alleged detention of Abish was deleted.

Earlier, protesters in Alma-Ata ransacked the office of the Mir 24 TV channel, and also set fire to the office building of the Kazakhstan TV channel.
