An area with snow and rain pulls in over southern Sweden tonight.

SMHI has issued a yellow warning for a sudden ice slide along Götaland's west coast, in an area all the way from south of Båstad to south of Strömstad.

It is rain that falls on cold roads after a cold night that can make up for it.

- The precipitation seems to continue over the morning rush hour.

It can take a while before the temperature rises in the roadways and it can in a narrow stretch along the coast affect the morning traffic, says Katarina Andersson, meteorologist at SMHI.

"Hard to fight"

The slipperiness can cause morning traffic to be slower than usual and lead to limited traffic due to accidents.

There is also a risk of delays in public transport.

- It will be difficult road conditions, it is difficult to fight when it rains on cold roads, says Katarina Andersson.

SMHI's warning applies between 04 and 11 on Friday.

Later in the day, temperatures are expected to rise and the roads will be warmed up gradually according to SMHI.
