The Toulouse residents will again have to advance masked in the hypercentre. The prefect Etienne Guyot announced Tuesday evening the return of this obligation in a perimeter already practiced, going from the boulevards to the banks of the Garonne. This measure, taken in consultation with the mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc (LR) and the regional health agency, takes effect from this Wednesday, January 5 and follows an unprecedented increase in contamination. On Monday, the incidence rate of Covid-19 was 1,383.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (while the alert threshold is 50 cases) in the Pink City and 1,298.7 cases in Haute-Garonne.
The obligation is valid from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. for anyone over the age of 11.
Knowing that children over 6 years old must still, and throughout France, be masked until at least January 23 in public transport and establishments open to the public.
