In Rennes, the customer of a bar on rue Saint-Michel was seriously injured by a man who smashed a glass of beer in his face on January 1 shortly after 10 p.m.
The face bleeding, the victim had to be taken care of by the emergency services and underwent several stitches to sew up his injured face.
According to several witnesses, an altercation would have broken out with the manager of the establishment in the rue de la Soif before a customer intervenes and receives a drink in the face.
Judged on his birthday
On the run, the alleged aggressor was arrested a few minutes later by the canine brigade near the rue de Saint-Malo.
Also injured, he was taken to hospital for treatment before being taken into police custody.
The respondent judged this Monday in immediate appearance, the day of his 28 years.
Already well known to the police and justice, the man was sentenced to two years in prison.
He was imprisoned after the hearing.
