"It was a very difficult time. I wish him well. I hope if he needs help he will get it. It is very hard because I really care about him," he said. Arians said to the press.

The day before, after the victory obtained with the New York Jets, the coach of the reigning NFL champions had confirmed that the 33-year-old was "no longer a Buc", declining to give details on the reasons which led to the resounding exit from the field of the receiver, who threw his jersey and his protections on the ground, while greeting the fans in the stands.

"It's pretty obvious what happened," said Arians on Monday.

"He left the field and that's it ... We had a conversation and he left the field."

According to the NFL Network, Brown, with an ankle that was injured earlier in the season, has asked not to come into play.

“I don't know if he was injured,” Arians replied.

"Did he say he was hurt? No."

Brown's already chaotic career in the NFL is now left in limbo, he who has already opened up on mental disorders and drags extra-sporting problems which have notably seen him in recent years settle a civil lawsuit for charges of rape.

Earlier this season, he received a three-match suspension for using a fake Covid-19 vaccination card.

Brown joined the Buccaneers in October 2020, just after being suspended for eight games for misconduct.

A sanction resulting from an incident in January 2020 in which he and his physical trainer were accused of assaulting the driver of a moving truck.

Previously, he had missed most of the 2019 season after being fired from the New England Patriots after just one appearance.
