It is noted that in the last week of 2021, 2,915 cases of delta infection and 4,360 cases of omicron were recorded in Austria.
At the moment, 6,768 cases of the disease with the new strain have been confirmed in the country.
Earlier it was reported that the first two deaths among those infected with the omicron-strain of coronavirus were registered in South Korea.
