"[We are] well informed by the media. But by the school, no", denounces a mother of a pupil at the exit of a school of Mandelieu-la-Napoule (Alpes-Maritimes).

This lack of information irritates parents the most.

"We could have been warned. At least email the parents, so we can anticipate."

"It's a Chinese puzzle"

Parents find this new protocol complicated with three tests in four days without automatic closing of the class. "Case contact, case on-contact ... it's a Chinese puzzle", says a mother. "We were sent an email at 1 pm to come and pick up the children because their teacher tested positive. So we had to have them tested today so that they could come back to school tomorrow. Then in two days. Then in four days. The whole year like that, it's heavy for us, "a mother of a pupil told Europe 1.

Contact case students must now perform a first PCR or antigen test on D-0, then two self-tests on D + 2 and D + 4.

Regarding the self-tests, parents will have to declare on their honor that they have tested their children.

"I will play along. But parents can tell you 'my child is negative' when he is positive and can infect friends. I find it impractical for children. They suffer from the cotton swabs in their noses. that's absurd, ”denounces another student mother.

Students will be able to return to school from the first negative test.

The protocol is the same for vaccinated teachers and contact cases.
