In the upper house election this summer, the Constitutional Democratic Party and others are aiming to unify the candidates by coordinating with the opposition parties in the so-called "one-person district", but after the lower house election last year, the relationship between the opposition parties has changed. The focus will be on the realization of election cooperation.

In the lower house election last October, the Constitutional Democratic Party and the Communist Party cooperated in the election, and although they achieved some results in the single-seat constituencies, both the Constitutional Democratic Party and the Communist Party reduced the number of seats when combined with the proportional representation.

Even in the upper house election in the summer, both parties are aiming to unify the candidates in the so-called "one-person district" with a capacity of 32 people nationwide, but the Constitutional Democratic Party has decided on the evaluation of election cooperation. The fact is that no concrete discussions have been made.

In addition, the Democratic Party for the People's Democratic Party has become more distant from the Constitutional Democratic Party after the election of the House of Representatives. In addition, the Reiwa Shinsengumi will also actively consider supporting it.

For this reason, it seems that the focus will be on the realization of election cooperation aimed at unifying candidates in the "one-person district."

On the other hand, the Nippon Ishin no Kai, which is different from the Constitutional Democratic Party, wants to actively support candidates in "multiple wards" in order to expand the party power outside the Kansai region where it is based.
