In total, as of the morning of January 2, at least 1,979 flights were canceled in the United States, with the most difficult situation observed in the airports of the cities of Chicago and Denver. 

Southwest Airlines (264 flights), JetBlue (169 flights) and American Airlines were among the leaders in canceling flights per day.

Earlier it was reported that in Japan due to heavy snow, airlines canceled about 230 domestic flights.
