It was due to a signal from a control system that Ringhals 3 was stopped on Wednesday 29 December.

The reactor was supposed to have been started during New Year's Eve, but was started at lunchtime on New Year's Day.

This is because the safety routines took longer than expected.

The forecast was then given that the reactor would be in full operation on the afternoon of January 2, but this did not happen.

According to the Nordpool electricity market, this is due to a leak at the turbine.

Ringhals 3 is expected to produce in full effect again on January 3.
