-We have received about fifty cases of abuse in Västra Götaland alone, says police spokesman Peter Adlersson.
Three of the cases have led to more serious injuries: in Tuve on Hisingen, a woman was stabbed in her home by a close man.
He is now the detainee for attempted murder.
At Järntorget in central Gothenburg, a man in his 20s was stabbed.
A twice as old man was arrested at the scene, suspected of aggravated assault.
And in Åmål, a man in his 30s was stabbed after stepping in a fight.
-No one has been arrested but we have good information and good hopes of arresting something, says Peter Adlersson.
No accidents with fireworks
Many people have also contacted the police after being disturbed by fireworks.
-It can be about thinking that people shoot carelessly.
In some cases, we have gone out but it has not led to any arrest and we have no information about injuries in connection with fireworks, says Peter Adlersson.
