It is noted that the parties discussed the upcoming talks within the framework of the Russia-NATO Council, as well as on the topic of strategic stability between Moscow and Washington.
“The alliance is ready for a meaningful dialogue with Russia and at the same time is united in the issue of containing further aggression against Ukraine,” TASS quotes a statement from the American Foreign Ministry.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Russian-American consultations on security guarantees, as planned, will be held on January 10 in Geneva.
