Start the clip to follow to the municipal poet's desk in Tranemo and hear him reflect on the resurrection.

In October, Jimmy Alm's life changed.

Then he stepped out into the public eye as Tranemos and Sweden's only municipal poet.

With state support behind him, he will, among other things, for a year write poems about people in the municipality, but also about things that can not themselves communicate their reality - such as a weaving mill or a concrete factory.

Something that made many people react negatively, usually with the argument that it was a waste of tax money.

Or lousy poetry.

- This bullshit lasted only a few days really, says Jimmy Alm, and continues:

- Then it became very very positive.

I have received support from people I do not know who they are.

They have sent great postcards or left a box of chocolates in the library for the municipal poet.

That's what really touches me.

"Just as much a social project"

Now Jimmy Alm tries to write two poems a week.

When SVT visits the municipal poet, he writes a poem about a weaving mill, something that will be performed the next day.

To write the poem, he has interviewed the owners.

- I use poetry and literature as a form of expression, but for me it is just as much a social project.

How I judge whether a poem is good or not is about people in question feeling seen.

If I touch people I write a poem about, then it is a good poem for me, says Jimmy Alm.
