The police station of Château-Thierry (Aisne) and the police officers who came as reinforcements were targeted, this Thursday evening, by fireworks mortar fire, which did not damage or injure.
Several people were arrested, we learned this Friday from the Departmental Directorate of Public Security (DDSP) of Aisne.
Several mortar fire targeting "the building of the police station", in particular "the front door" took place "around 11:30 pm", according to the DDSP.
One of the crews who had come to reinforce them from another sector of the department then suffered gunfire "around 2 o'clock".

"A BAC crew spotted one of the individuals responsible for the first shots within a group."
At the time of his arrest, the police "were taken to task by the rest of the group" and "used the launcher of defense bullets and defense grenades", added the DDSP.
This 21-year-old man was still in custody on Friday morning, police said, mentioning "several arrests" without giving the number, operations still being carried out.
According to a police source, the people arrested are young people in their twenties.
