Former President Park Geun-hye, who was in prison for bribery and other charges for receiving a huge bribe from a conglomerate group in South Korea, was given an amnesty.

According to Korean media, former President Park is expected to continue treatment at the hospital where he is hospitalized for the time being.

After being dismissed in 2017, former President Park Kune was arrested and imprisoned for receiving a huge bribe from Samsung Group, the largest conglomerate, and was sentenced to 22 years in prison for bribery and other charges by January. The prison sentence was finalized.



Last week, the Korean Ministry of Justice announced that President Moon Jae-in would give a pardon to former President Park, who was released at midnight on the 31st for the first time in about four years and nine months. ..



However, former President Park has been hospitalized in a hospital in Seoul since last month due to worsening shoulder and lower back illnesses, and according to Korean media, he is expected to continue treatment at the hospital for the time being.



While supporters held a rally in front of the hospital to welcome the release, a rally against the release was held in central Seoul, suggesting a deep-rooted distrust of former President Park.
