SVT NYheter Sörmland has already previously reported on the high proportion of juvenile robberies committed in Eskilstuna.

On Tuesday night, another was committed.

- It was at 22.16 that we got a call that a robbery had been committed at Sveaplan and that a boy who is 16 years old had been robbed of his jacket and shoes, says the police's spokesperson, Thomas Agnevik.

"Big problem with juvenile robbery"

According to him, the police started looking for suspected perpetrators and a moment later the police found two boys, 15 and 16 years old, who were arrested on suspicion of the robbery.

- It is young people who are arrested and we have a big problem with juvenile robbery, says Thomas Agnevik.

According to him, the suspected boys were questioned about the crime, but were released later during the night.

Decision to release suspects

- From what I can see, the matter is well investigated.

But the prosecutor has made the decision to release the suspects due to the circumstances and that they are so young.

Thomas Agnevik has no information about how the robbery took place, but the victim must not have been physically injured.
