According to an interim decision from the Patent and Market Court, Glada Bonden does not have the right to use Boxholm cheese in its marketing because Arla trademarked the name.

The decision is valid until the main hearing and until then, the Happy Farmer now censors his cheese and calls it XXXX XXXXXXX.

- We think the court made a too narrow examination and that they should not have forbidden us to use the name until the main hearing.

Therefore, we are now applying for leave to appeal to the Patent and Market Court of Appeal, says Glada farmer's chairman Anders Birgersson to SVT Nyheter Öst.

Not happy

The censored cheeses are now given a new label without any real name - something that Anders Birgersson thinks is unfortunate.

- We would have liked clearer guidelines for how we should relate to the place name while waiting for a decision.

Now we do not know what is okay, then it had to be like this, he says.
