Ostapkovich supported such plans, noting that such measures are necessary in case of violation of the law.

But the expert emphasized that it is important to avoid "excesses".

“We need to fine-tune the labor market mechanism.

The main thing is that the labor market of migrants itself should work normally.

Because sometimes administrative barriers are created at the level of regional and municipal administrations, ”the specialist said.

In addition, the interlocutor of RT added that migrants "bring great benefits to the economies of countries," and also "contribute their percentage to GDP growth."

Earlier, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that from January 1, foreign citizens engaged in illegal labor activities may be expelled from Russia.

It is noted that employers for the illegal attraction of foreign citizens to work may be subject to fines - up to 800 thousand rubles for each such employee.

In May, the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, Yaroslav Nilov, in an interview with RT, commented on the idea of using prisoners in those jobs in which labor migrants are currently involved.
