Putin announces good news about the "Sputnik V" vaccine

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that, based on research conducted by the "Gamalia" Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, the "Sputnik V" vaccine against the Corona virus is able to neutralize the Omicron mutant.

"I spoke with the head of the Gamalia Institute and they conducted a study confirming the ability of Sputnik V to neutralize the new Omicron strain," Putin said during a meeting of the CIS summit held in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

He added - according to what was reported by "RT Arabia" - that the director of the institute told him that clinical research alone can give a definitive answer about the effectiveness of this vaccine, but the level of neutralization is very high.
