Zhumayev participated in his country's celebrations of its National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai, taking advantage of this occasion by highlighting the tourism potentials for which Kazakhstan is famous, as one of the best global destinations for mountaineering.

Zhumayev led a team of mountaineers this year to successfully climb 30 mountain peaks to celebrate the country's 30th anniversary of independence.

Zhumayev said: “Expo 2020 provides the best platform to promote our country on the world stage, highlighting the diverse range of tourist attractions across our territory. The most interesting challenge that Kazakhstan offers is its mountains, which promise visitors an amazing, lively and unforgettable experience.” He added, "Although these peaks constitute only 10% of the country's charming landscapes, they have become very famous worldwide, and have become a destination for expeditions from around the world." The Kazakh adventurer continued: “Every year, the peaks in Kazakhstan attract a large number of tourists from all over the world, attracting amateur and professional climbers alike, and make them feel an irresistible desire to test and challenge their abilities in the mountains of Tian Shan or Dzinger Alatau, or even on the edges of the mountains Karkaralinsky.

Zhumaev, the captain of the national team, who hails from the city of Almaty, succeeded in climbing the 14 highest peaks in the world in 10 years and 10 days, including climbing Mount Everest twice, without the need to use additional oxygen or even support from guides, to raise his country's flag above The highest peak in the world. Zhumaev has always had close relations with the international brotherhood of mountaineers in different countries, especially in the Americas. Some Kazakh sites, such as the Charyn Canyon for example, and the more ancient Istigurt Plateau, which are included in the top 10 tourist destinations in Kazakhstan, are considered to be areas that receive large numbers of tourists annually. Zhumayev explained: "Kazakhstan's landmarks vary between national parks, reserves and safe havens, which are protected by (UNESCO) as part of the world's cultural and natural heritage.

Kazakhstan has a rich mountaineering history, with the country's team being the first to defeat all 14 summits above 8000 metres.
