The Christmas choir has been singing for Örebro's residents and visitors on Christmas Eve for over 30 years, but this year the tradition was threatened.

The financial support that previously came from, among others, Örebro municipality was lacking this year, money needed to be able to rent a sound system and sound technicians.

- I thought about paying everything out of my own pocket, says choir conductor Linda Larsson.

- I'm glad I let it go, she says and laughs.

Got money left over

When it became clear that the event was threatened, several private individuals and companies went in and offered to help.

Together, they contributed more money than was needed.

The surplus could be donated to the city mission and their collection to families with children who are having a hard time.

- Tears of love flowed down my cheeks when I received this message.

I am so happy that wonderful and warm forces were able to make it happen, says Linda Larsson.
