Most of Europe is classified as "dark red" due to the spread of "Corona"

The European Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (ECDC) COVID-19 situation map, which has been updated, shows that most of the region is dark red.

Only Romania, 3 regions in Italy and some overseas territories, escaped from the coding of red or dark colors, and this classification is used in regions where more than 500 infections were discovered per 100,000 people during the past two weeks.

The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control publishes its weekly European map based on the number of infections and the percentage of positive tests over the past 14 days. The map contains four colors: green, orange, red and dark red.

The green color indicates areas where the infection rate (the number of new cases per 100,000 people over 14 days) is less than 50 and the positivity rate is less than 4 percent, or where the infection rate is less than 75 but the positivity rate is less than 1 percent.

Red is used in two cases: when the infection rate is between 75 and 200 with a positivity rate higher than 4 percent, or when the infection rate is between 200 and 500, regardless of the positivity rate.

Belgium is still dark red, like most other countries and regions in Europe and the only exception is Romania in green.
