Agents of the Civil Guard
have detonated a Civil War aviation bomb
located in a plot of the municipality of Boadilla del Monte, while excavation work was being carried out, as reported by the City Council of this Madrid town on Twitter.
They moved to the place
effective team Explosives Deactivation
(EDEX) of the Command of the Civil Guard in Madrid.
These experts collected the device,
an aviation bomb SD-50, of German origin,
and with the help of the Local Police of the municipality they moved it to a secluded place, making a pit for it to explode in a controlled way, as shown in this video.
The bomb carried the launch fuze and had dimensions of 68 centimeters by 20 in diameter and
a total weight of 55 kilograms
, corresponding to an explosive charge (TNT) 16,400 kilograms.
Before the discovery of an artifact, the armed institute
advises not to manipulate it and prevent others from doing so
, avoid overconfidence due to the rusty or rusty appearance of the material found, properly mark the place with stones or branches avoiding that the artifact is covered and notify it as soon as possible to the emergency service 112 or the Civil Guard 062.
