A number of European countries regretted the decision of Mali to cooperate with the "Wagner Group"

“We, international partners, committed to supporting Mali and its people ... strongly condemn the deployment of mercenaries on Malian territory,” the statement said.

Earlier, the European Union decided to impose sanctions on persons who, according to the EU, are associated with the activities of the so-called Wagner group.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on these restrictions.
