According to information from Marsactu, a man was found dead earlier this week in a squat in the northern districts of Marseille.

The corpse was found in a building in the unsanitary city, and known to be occupied by migrants, from the Petit-Séminaire, in the 13th arrondissement of the Marseille city.

This building was occupied in dangerous conditions, to the point that power cuts had been decided to prevent the risk of electric fire.

The prefecture and the deputy in charge of housing at the town hall of Marseille Patrick Amico went there this Wednesday evening.

The Cité du Petit-Séminaire, owned by a social landlord, is to be destroyed soon.

Last July three people died in the fire of a building belonging to a social landlord but partly squatted, located in the deprived district of Flamants, in the northern districts of Marseille.
