A Palestinian was shot dead by the Israeli army, on Wednesday evening, in the occupied West Bank, which led to the outbreak of confrontations.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said, in a statement seen by Anadolu Agency, that the young man, Muhammad Issa Abbas (26 years), arrived at the Palestine Medical Complex (governmental) in Ramallah, with a bullet in his back and in critical condition, and the doctors tried to save his life, but he died of his injury.

According to eyewitnesses, an Israeli force raided the city of Al-Bireh and shot a Palestinian vehicle, as a result of which a civilian was wounded by live ammunition.

As a result, clashes erupted between dozens of civilians and the Israeli army, in which the occupation soldiers used live and metal bullets and tear gas canisters.

Israeli forces frequently storm cities and towns in the West Bank, and arrest citizens on the grounds that they are wanted by the security forces.

Cold blood

And last night, another Palestinian was shot dead by the Israeli occupation army, near Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank, claiming he was trying to carry out a run-down operation, while his car caught fire.

In recent years, the Israeli forces have fired at close range and in cold blood at many Palestinian civilians at the checkpoints in the West Bank, which resulted in the death of a large number of them, claiming that they were trying to carry out attacks.

Palestinian and Israeli human rights reports confirm that most of the occupation forces’ allegations in this regard are incorrect, and that they shot many Palestinians who did not pose any threat to them, which reflects the occupation’s continued policy of direct targeting of Palestinians, its disregard for their lives, and the excessive use of force.
