An accident occurred in connection with a seriously ill patient being taken care of in the emergency room.

The patient was given painkillers and the respirator was turned on.

Then it happened:

"At the same time as the other person opened the oxygen, a form of pressure wave came towards the nurse and the visor flew off, the ampoule and the syringe with the needle flew out of my hands.

A loud noise comes and the room becomes bright ", it says in a report to the Swedish Work Environment Authority.

Strange smell

The nurse describes that it then starts to smell strange and the other person shouts that it is burning:

"The other person rushes towards the burning transport rack and pushes it away, opens the door and rushes out."

One person remains far into the corner of the room while the other person begins to roll out the patient.

The nurse looks around the room, sees that she is left alone but at first does not dare to go out.

But she still thinks she has to do it.

Hesitating where it is burning but rushing past.

That's fine.

Stopping outside the room, the other person looks a bit down into the room inside the large ambulance hall ”.

What caused the explosion is not yet known.
