“We are ready to conduct diplomatic work through various channels - both on the current dialogue on strategic stability between Russia and the United States, and in the Russia-NATO Council,” RIA Novosti quoted Blinken as saying at a press conference.

He added that contacts are also planned within the framework of the OSCE.

“I think you will see contacts on all these issues relatively early next year,” concluded Blinken.

Earlier, the State Department declared the United States' readiness to discuss proposals on security guarantees.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced a proposal to hold a meeting of the NATO-Russia Council in early 2022.
