The document proposes to empower the government to establish requirements for places where animals are sold, ”said Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin.
Speaking about the second bill, he noted that administrative liability is being introduced for non-compliance with important requirements of the law on the responsible treatment of animals.

Earlier, Vladimir Burmatov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, spoke about the idea of introducing administrative fines for cruelty to animals.
In November, Burmatov commented on the idea of introducing a tax for animal owners.
