The entire leadership of the Popular Party has been forced to take tests in the last hours after the secretary general of the formation, Teodoro García Egea, has tested positive for Covid.
The president of the PP, Pablo Casado, has been one of the leaders who has had to carry out an urgent PCR and has tested negative.
Official PP sources report that with this result, Casado will not have to confine himself for the next few days since he cannot be considered "close contact" as he has been "wearing a mask at all times."
The rest of the members of the national leadership, who met yesterday in Genoa for the Executive Committee, are following the same protocol as Casado: PCR and, if negative, not confined for having been wearing a mask.
García Egea has commented on his positive through social networks.
"I will spend a few days confined. In the family, all are well. Take good care of yourselves and take extreme precautions," he said.
