“The President received representatives of the opposition Adgur Ardzinba, Timur Gulia, Akhru Bzhania,” said Presidential Press Secretary Marianna Kvitsinia.
She added that Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mikhail Sangulia, Prime Minister Alexander Ankvab and Chief of Staff of the President's Administration Alkhas Kvitsinia are also present at the talks.
Earlier in Sukhum, opposition supporters clashed with the police near the parliament building.
The reason for the protest was the discontent of the protesters with the work of the authorities.
