The Minister of Energy does not want to go into all the points raised, but mentions one that he hopes can have an effect in the near future.

- One of them is a variant that they call a buy-back system.

If there is an electricity network between southern and northern Sweden, the full capacity is not used, some is reserved in the event of a crisis.

By adding more electricity producers, by buying from abroad or locally in the south, you can free up this space in the grid and then get significantly better grid capacity quickly, says Khashayar Farmanbar.

- Then you can transport electricity from north to south, it pushes prices and price changes.

Minister: Looking at abolished tax

The business model must not have been used in Sweden before.

- This measure could at best have an effect already this winter.

But above all, it ensures that we do not end up in this situation more than once.

SVT: The moderates want to abolish the tax on electricity.

Is that something you're been looking at?

- We are looking at it and have said that we are prepared to listen to their proposals.

As it stands, the proposal would risk giving the electricity companies seven billion in tax cuts without it necessarily ending up with the electricity consumers.

SVT: When do we know if the government will help consumers?

- We follow the situation closely and there is no timetable I can comment on today, says Khashayar Farmanbar.
