The Peruvian artist, Dante Calderon, embodies the culture of his country through his paintings that reflect the culture of "Mochi", "Mochica", "Early Chimo" or "Pre-Chimo".

Calderon uses natural dyes, such as sweet pepper, coffee, and turmeric, in addition to the dye produced from a scaly insect called cochineal, creating distinctive shapes inspired by the picturesque nature of Peru.
