The weather on Tuesday will be colder, especially in the north of the country, with generalized frosts in the land, according to Météo-France forecasts.

The weather will be very cold at the start of the day with negative temperatures, down to -3 to -5 degrees from the Grand Est to Limousin and Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, as well as in the interior of Provence.

From the rim of the Gulf of Lion to the Côte d'Azur and the Ile de Beauté, the sky will be cloudy to very cloudy.

The clouds will give a few showers in the afternoon in Corsica.

Over a large north-western quarter, in the plains of Alsace, Champagne and Burgundy north of Auvergne and the Rhône valley, as well as on the plains of the southwest, greyness will still be frequent at sunrise. of the day, in the form of low clouds or sometimes freezing fog.

The sky will stay low

In the afternoon, the sky will often remain low and gray over the Normandy lands in the Center and from the Saône Valley to Lyonnais.

Rarer pockets of stratus will trail along the Garonne valley and in the Alsace plain.

Everywhere else, the clearings will be back.

The massifs will retain a beautiful sun all day long.

In the northern half, the drop in temperatures will also be felt during the day.

Over a large north-eastern quarter to the center and north of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, it will not be more than 1 to 5 degrees in the afternoon.

4 to 8 degrees are expected from Cotentin and Brittany to Poitou-Charentes.

In the south, maximum temperatures will reach 8 to 13 degrees, up to 15/16 in Corsica and 15 to 18 in the Pyrenean foothills.
