Houthi media announced that the Saudi-led coalition launched late night raids on Sanaa airport and other sites in the Yemeni capital.

Earlier, Saudi official media reported that the coalition carried out air strikes on Sanaa International Airport, after it demanded that civilians evacuate the airport immediately.

The coalition called on workers in international and humanitarian organizations to evacuate the airport immediately, adding, "We have taken legal measures to deal with the threat operationally."

The coalition said that it had removed protection from specific locations at Sana'a Airport in accordance with international humanitarian law, and had carried out precise and specific air strikes against legitimate military targets at Sana'a Airport.

"The strikes on Sanaa airport come in response to the threat and the use of its facilities to launch cross-border attacks," he added.

On Sunday, the coalition said it destroyed a drone that took off from Sanaa International Airport and was targeting civilians at King Abdullah Airport in Jizan, southern Saudi Arabia.

The coalition also said on Sunday that it had carried out a military operation in the capital to destroy workshops and warehouses of drones and other weapons, and urged civilians to avoid the area.
