Al-Jazeera Net correspondent in Palestine, Muhammad Mohsen Wad, reported that a Palestinian prisoner detained in the prisoners' section of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) stabbed on Monday an officer of the Israeli occupation prisons, in the Nafha desert prison in the Negev, and he was slightly injured, as prisons witnessed tension and a state of alert among the prisoners, According to what was reported by the Israeli media, in parallel, the administrative prisoners announced a boycott of the Israeli courts.

According to the information he allowed, the prisoner “stabbed” the Israeli officer with a sharp object, causing him minor injuries. The officer was given first aid at the prison clinic, while the prisoner was transferred to the isolation department, according to the Israeli Prison Authority.

And the newspaper "Haaretz" claimed that the Israeli Prison Authority received in recent days many warnings that Hamas detainees might harm prison officers and warders in Israeli prisons.

And the official Israeli radio, Kan, reported that the perpetrator of the stabbing attack in Nafha prison was the prisoner Youssef al-Mabhouh, who lives in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, who is sentenced to 15 years on charges of activity and belonging to the military wing of Hamas (Al-Qassam), and of planting explosive devices.

According to the newspaper, "Haaretz", the prisoner Al-Mabhouh, who was sentenced in June 2020 to 15 years in prison for his activities for the "Qassam", served on missions for Hamas in the Gaza Strip between 2007 and 2018.

The prisoner al-Mabhouh participated in the military operations against the Israeli occupation army during the “Cast Lead” and “Steel Cliff” operations, and helped dig tunnels and place explosive devices and explosives for the occupation army’s tanks on the borders of the Gaza Strip during the Israeli aggression on the Strip in 2012, according to what was mentioned in a list The accusation filed by the Military Prosecution.

Following the stabbing operation, the Prison Authority mobilized more forces to Nafha prison, where units of the Israeli occupation army are being sought to control the conditions in the prison, which is witnessing a state of great alertness among the prisoners, amid tension that pervades all sections of the prison.

The prisoners' media said, in a statement, that "the stabbing operation in Nafha prison comes in retaliation for the female prisoners in Damoun prison, whose hero is a captive from the Gaza Strip."

The Director of the Prisoners Information Office, Nahid Al-Fakhouri, held the occupation prisons administration fully responsible for the events inside the prisons, stressing that what happened by the prisoners was a natural reaction to the crime of assault and abuse of female prisoners.

Boycotting Israeli Courts

In the same context, the administrative prisoners in Israeli prisons announced, on Monday, the boycott of the Israeli courts for administrative detention (without charge), starting from the first of next January.

Abdel-Qader Al-Khatib, Assistant Undersecretary for the Prisoners' Affairs Committee of the Liberation Organization, said in a conference held in Ramallah, that the administrative prisoners announced a boycott of the Israeli courts starting in early 2022.

He stated that these mock courts have nothing to do with reality, in addition to the suffering incurred by the prisoners during the process of transporting them in (Al Bosta) transport vehicles that lack the minimum elements of safety and comfort.

In Gaza, Zaki Dababish, coordinator of the prisoners’ committee in the National and Islamic Forces Coalition, read out a statement issued by the Administrative Prisoners Committee in Israeli Prisons, during a press conference.

Dababish said that the administrative prisoners announced in their statement the start of a comprehensive boycott of the occupation courts for administrative detention, starting from the first of next January.

Israel administratively detains about 500 Palestinians, out of about 4,650 prisoners in its prisons, according to data published by the Palestinian Prisoners Club, at the end of last October.
