"Omicron" - the strain of coronavirus has become dominant in the United States

According to RIA Novosti, the new strain accounted for almost three quarters of infections in a week - 73.2%. 

Earlier, the chief American infectious disease specialist Anthony Fauci predicted difficult weeks in the United States due to the spread of the omicron coronavirus strain.

United States President Joe Biden announced that the omicron would soon begin to spread much faster throughout the country.
