Its activities include organizing events, exhibitions and professional training workshops.

Since 1987, the association, in the historic Buda Castle in Budapest, has been organizing the largest annual national event for Hungarian artisans, the "Festival of Handicrafts and Arts".

Sects of craftsmen include sculptors, weavers, blacksmiths, potters, tool-makers and embroiderers, painters, lace-makers, belt-makers, wheel-makers, basket-weavers, and bread-makers.
