December 18, 2021Graziano Mesina, 79, also known as Grazianeddu, the most famous exponent of Sardinian banditry, was tracked down and arrested during the night by the carabinieri del Ros, with the support in the executive phase of the GIS, of the provincial carabinieri command of Nuoro and the helicopter-borne squadron Hunters of Sardinia.



Mesina had been a fugitive since July 2020, when he escaped an execution order of 24 years of imprisonment, issued by the general prosecutor at the Court of Appeal of Cagliari.
