Serious scare in the subway.
The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 28-year-old man of Colombian nationality for pushing a woman he did not know onto the metro at Urgell station, Line 1, in Barcelona.
Thanks to the help of a witness, who witnessed this crime from the opposite platform and jumped onto the track to help her, the victim was unharmed before the arrival of the train.
The station service was restricted in the direction of Fondo and after the attack the emergency service was called.
The Mossos indicate that the events occurred shortly before 9:40 a.m. when the suspect was on the platform and when he passed behind the victim, he pushed her.
The agents are investigating the reasons for this attack since the woman and the suspect did not know each other, so they believe he could have suffered some kind of alienation, since he did not want to steal her either.
The man was arrested for the crimes of attempted murder and injuries.
After suffering the attack, the woman was transferred to a health center to undergo an in-depth examination, although she only had bruises and superficial wounds.
The quick action of the witness, who was on the opposite platform and has witnessed the events, has avoided the tragedy as he crossed the tracks to help the woman leave the place and get to safety before the arrival of the train.
