“When asked when he last visited the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Alexander Ilchuk replied that he did not remember, and was confused in years,” the ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that the artist “repeatedly violated the procedure for entering the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea” when he traveled to the peninsula to participate in festivals.

The State Border Service of Ukraine has banned Ilchuk from entering the territory of the state for three years.

He will take the next flight back to Istanbul.

The musician himself took the situation with irony.

“All right, we were left without good music,” he said.

Earlier, Russian actor and TV presenter Oscar Kuchera was banned from entering Ukraine for a period of three years.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine also included Russian actors Igor Kopylov, Igor Petrenko and Maria Mironova on the list of persons who pose a threat to national security.
