A neighborhood conflict between an owner and her four tenants degenerated in great width, last May in Domancy (Haute-Savoie).
As Le Dauphiné Libéré
recounts
, the owner has just been tried on Thursday for acts of violence, threat with a weapon, racist insults, theft and home invasion.
Drunk at the time of the facts, it indeed exploded, in the midst of an argument about damage to his vehicle.
As the fifty-year-old was clearing the surroundings of her property at the same time, she did not hesitate to access the apartment of her tenants (and therefore neighbors) upstairs with her device.
She then brandished the walking brush cutter to threaten the tenants.
One of them had to intervene to disconnect the tool.
"I was not going to cut them out", confided the person concerned Thursday in front of the court of Bonneville, by qualifying her behavior of "perhaps excessive".
More than 1,000 euros in damages to victims
"My clients were traumatized and feared for their lives", assures for her part the lawyer of the victims.
Fifteen days after this violent episode, the owner ended up in police custody after having uttered racist insults against these same tenants.
This ex-hotelier from Chamonix, who appeared for the first time in her life in court, has just been sentenced to four months in prison, a fine of 300 euros and a little over 1,000 euros in damages for each of the victims.
