More than two-thirds (68%) of parents of children aged 5 to 11 are opposed to childhood immunizations, including 47% very opposed, according to an Elabe poll for "L'Express", BFMTV and SFR released on Thursday.

In the general population, on the other hand, 51% of those questioned are in favor of this vaccination, against 48% who are opposed to it.

In the general population, on the other hand, 51% of those questioned are in favor of vaccinating children aged 5 to 11 against Covid-19 against 48% who are opposed to it.

Stable trust in government

Confidence in President Emmanuel Macron and the government of Jean Castex to effectively fight the epidemic is stable at 44% compared to November 17, against 55% of French people who do not trust them. Concern over the spread of the virus has increased slightly in a month (64%, +4), against 36% who say they are not worried. Four in ten French people plan to meet more than six people at the table for the Christmas meal (s), the same proportion as those who plan to meet at six or less.

Regarding New Year's Eve, 17% plan to meet with more than six people.

A quarter do not yet know, and 15% do not intend to celebrate the New Year. One in five French people refuse to spend the end of the year holidays with an unvaccinated person.

Three in ten say they would be embarrassed to spend the holiday season with an unvaccinated loved one and would take more precautions.

A third say they would have no problem with this.

One in four French people intends to be tested before reuniting with their loved ones for the end of the year holidays, a little more than in 2020 at the same period.

Poll conducted on December 14 and 15 by internet with a sample of 1,000 people representative of the French population aged 18 and over.
